Second Grade Spelling Words

Second Grade Spelling Words

I was wondering around online looking for some help in regards to spelling for my kids.  There are many (I am sure wonderful) curriculums you can purchase, but with the amount of free online content available to us, I decided to see what I cold find for free before I plunked do some more cash on the next latest and greatest curriculum.Well….drum-roll please..here it is. This spelling help is really easy to use, and very helpful for me a busy home-school Mom. I actually have my kindergartner working on the second grade spelling words too. Hope you find it helpful.

Love the look of your site! You’re “one step from the edge” but you always make it look seamless!

If you’re after any more free spelling stuff, I make all of mine Creative Commons – so you’re free to use whatever you will. I write both The Spelling Blog http://thespellingblog.blogspot.com and The English Language Garden http://www.elgweb.net which has an article for teachers about teaching spelling and some spelling activities too. There are no adverts either (though I guess at some time I might have to start making some money from all this work!). Hope to see you over there sometime!
Good luck with the homeschooling adventure.

Hey Amber, just looking through your blog and got sidetracked by this great resource. I did the “your baby can read” program with Rohan and am still trying to find some kind of system to continue it. Now we’re just reading with him a lot and letting him pick out words he recognizes. But these word lists would be great for teaching him to read a new word every day! Always learning from you… can’t wait to look around more!
