Muse

For years I have co-posted with my husband at the mustardseed. I also co-blog with my business partners . Now at this phase in my life, I am ready to develop my voice and I have a lot to stay so stay tuned.. we may both learn something. We home school using the Charlotte Mason method. Our family has spent the past 6 years detoxing from church forms. You can read the details of that story here. We have been growing in our discipleship to Jesus with a few local friends and have found it to be an amazing adventure.

We love developing friendships all over the world. In our original blog we have developed friendships both near and far. The older I get the less I know but there is one thing I am more and more confidant of every day…..Time is the only thing we really own and relationship is the only thing we can buy with it.

This blog is dedicated to and inspired by my “muse”. I am sure you will find them as irresistable and adorable as I do.

Hey! Thanks so much for linking to my site! :) I’ve enjoyed browsing around your blog tonight, too. Looks like maybe you have a kiddo in Year One?? Me, too. My oldest daughter will be doing a modified version of AO’s year one. Love to hear more from you! Thanks, again!

    Hi Jacci -
Yes our oldest is in year one and we are having so much fun. I am always on the look out for great blogs and am linking often. It was fun to find yours. I look forward to getting to know you better.

Have you already started Year One? We’re going to begin on September 24th - a little late this year because my sis is getting married and we’re all in the wedding party. She lives with us right now, so we’re Wedding Central around here. If you’ve already started, I was wondering what week you’d be by the 24th. Thanks!

I look forward to getting to know you a bit, too :)

Yes we are in week 3 for year one, so I guess we will be starting on week #8. I love this method! It is so fun and freeing. I feel like I am getting my own education right along with them:-)

Hey it’s me, I LOVE YOUR BLOG, they have kept me up for hours once Kendall goes to bed. They have not only inspired me but reassured me that I am not alone in this world of parenting ups and downs. I just got back from Kendall’s dentist and he said “NO MORE PACI’S” I knew this was coming but wanted to enjoy one more day of peaceful sleep (that’s the only time she gets a paci) I’ve been saying I would take them away from her since she was 1, she is now 19 months! I asked Dr. Mays how to tackle this and he said “COLD TURKEY” and expect it to take up to 3 days! It has now been an hour since I put her in her crib for her afternoon nap and she is still crying, I have checked on her once and reassured her that the world was not coming to an end, but by the tone in her voice right now she is not a believer! Don’t want to jinx myself but all is quiet right now… ahhhh peace!

    Stacy,
You found me:-) It is such a small world, how did you find me anyway?

You are not alone. Parenting is the hardest and best job ever possible. Every day I have to suck it up and get over myself and do what is best for our kids. Some days I do really well, and as you see from this little blog, there are days I fail miserably.

Great job with the paci. Be glad you can take it away. Chloe still sucks her fingers about 10% of the time when she sleeps. The dentist says it isn’t an issue yet, so I am praying she will just give it up already.

I saw your family pics on RD’s website. You guys look great. Give me a call 626.4683. I’d love to catch up!
