Do you like?

April 20th, 2008

So, as you can tell, I ‘ve been

  • playing with our camera (The header is an original shot.)
  • playing with paint shop pro (free test version to see if I like it. YES I LIKE IT!)
  • playing with new skin ideas
  • because of playing with the skins, learning basic coding CRAZINESS (which makes my eyes hurt) .

and now that this is up, I realize the sidebar is WHACKED! So now, I am going to practice the art of walking away, and returning later, with a fresh attitude and desire to conquer a new skill and now I will go play in the pool with the kids!

Peace to all wanna be web designers today!

<p>I like it too Lora but the side bar isn’t widget ready. That stinks. You use wordpress too, have you worked with coding at all? I am a bit scared to monkey around in the edit function.</p> Aren’t those toes up there sweet:-) I found that shot and my heart melted!

Hello, I haven’t visited in ages… I LOVE what you’ve done to the place! :)

Congratulations on doing it yourself! I can do basic things, but I usually pay people to muck around on that side of life for me.

Hey Denise, I was thinking of you the other day. How is the weather in Canada, your Mom, the business and homeschool? How is that for a multilayered question?

    Hi Amber! Let’s see…

The weather here is terrible. I’m ready to move to Florida… or at least somewhere where it stops snowing after April 1!

My mom is great - her book is doing well, and she’s working on the sequel.

Business is good for me too, only I don’t have enough hours in the day to grow it like I want to. We’re planning on enrolling the kids in a few courses in an online school next year to lighten my load. Which is kind of sad, but Darian will be in high school soon. He works well independently, but planning his curriculum has become a lot of work.

Also, we started attending a new church a few months ago and I credit the “What is Church” blog for inspiring me to look for something new. It’s not a home church, but it’s VERY different from most other churches I’ve known. They use prayer stations, don’t like programs, feels more like a family than a church. :)

Wow - Denise, what an honor, that our little site inspiried you up in Canada. Mike and I are playing around with that site more to do just that for more people. I am so happy for you and I am craving a few good prayer stations. I may just have create a few just for myself. Send me a link so I can check it out. I here it is a late spring this year in all those northern parts. Come on to Florida, we need a few more kindred spirits down here:-)

I think online school is a great addition as the kids grow older. I am being called to stay home more, continue to process my journey and dig into some new things on my horizon and see what God brings about.
Of course, I will keep you posted:-)
    Peace to you!
