The Big Question…

March 11th, 2008

A week before we left, we hung a bird-feeder outside our kitchen window.  It was full of seed, and no little tweeties to be seen for the entire week.  We left it wondering if any little tweeties would find it.

The kids burning question about their home was…”I wonder if the birds found our feeder and if it has any food in it?”  Well, I am happy to report it was empty when we returned. Our feathered friends are making their way to our kitchen window for some grub. I hope to capture some good shots.  We also have some new duck families who just moved into our neighborhood pond.

In other news, we got all of the materials for our kitchen composter and the worms are on their way. Heavenly Days…I will keep you posted on that one.  Our family walks after dinner resumed last night.  I had this idea that I wanted the children to have a memory of walking at dusk as a family. On our walk, we cut several flowers and leaves around our neighborhood and made some pretty little flower arrangements around the house.

Chenoa inspired me in Peru.  She always had fresh cut flowers in her home from her yard.

AH yes, spring is in the air. The house is open, the wind is blowing the children are playing. Life is good.
