A few Semi-coherent thoughts!
February 18th, 2008
Well, My amazing husband is playing freeze dance with the children upstairs to “Walking on Sunshine”, while I battle what seems like aliens in my body. Good Times people. It seems a large portion of the conference got a nasty virus, not to mention I am suffering from altitude sickness at the same time. Hey, it is one way to lose some weight!
I have been thinking about my last post about sustainable living and some recent thoughts by NT Wright on Christians misconception of heaven. Give it a read and let me know what you think.
“Training for Reigning” peeps! Our every day life and our little small choices day in and day out, do matter for eternity. Pretty mind blowing when you really stop and think about it.

Great article…heaven on earth…let your Kingdom come! Reminds me of Todd Hunter’s message to the youth at a Vineyard conference in G-ville about the Kingdom…

Oh yes, that is a good memory… that time in Gainesville.
I remember listening to Todd, standing off to one side by the door weeping. Can yoy believe that was almost 10 years ago. Thanks for the link to T’s post. GREAT STUFF!

So sorry to hear of your sickness…praying…
And I love what that article was talking about - and it really makes so much sense putting what the Bible says altogether. And, you know, the earth is an AMAZING creation of God. Think of the scenery alone, the wonders, the amazing beauty…and it would make sense that He would want that to stay; that he would begin a new “world” on this world that we could continue to enjoy his creations and they would not be destroyed. As an artist, would anyone want to destroy the beauty they created to just make a different beauty? I would say rarely.
And it’s funny what the interviewer said about it “sounding like work” - in church Sunday our pastor spoke just about this - and it’s funny how the misconception of the clouds and harps and such goes along with a general sense of sitting around and just “being” in heaven. He mentioned how we are created in God’s image and how He is always working and why we would think God didn’t want the same from us.
So no, maybe we won’t be sitting on the beach or in the clouds drinking our umbrella drinks of choice for eternity, but I think of the joy that I get when I see how God uses me in one small circumstance and that far outweighs the “joy” of relaxing on the beach so if that’s what eternity has in store for me, I’ll take it!
(love and wellness to you all!) Em

btw, not sure of the biblical basis for the first part of my comment; just an interesting thought and twist in my mind’s eye

Sorry you are sick, friend. Prayers for you to conquer the altitude, virus, and getting back to daily making a difference in our little world.
