I Stopped!
October 22nd, 2007

You will be proud to know that I stopped riding my children’s emotional roller coaster. I know enough not to ride any of my peer’s emotional roller coasters but somehow the concept escaped me when it came to our kids.
I had an epiphany 2 weeks ago and it has made all the difference. My attitudes, emotions and feelings are not dependent on or directed by their attitudes, emotions or feelings. It is a beautiful thing!

Good for you! This is a hard one for me to stay away from too. I have to be very diligent to not allow myself to go with the flow of everyone’s moods!

Wow…what a concept! Good for you!! That is one of those issues that we all “know” but we don’t seem to “know” it…know what I mean?? I will be excited the day I can declare that same liberation!!!! I am so bad about letting everyone elses mood ruin mine and the saying about “if Momma ain’t happy, aint nobody happy” is so true. In the meantime…way to go Mom!!!
