Dig In To Today.
”If Mama ain’t happy nobody is happy.” It seems like a funny cliche but it speaks to my process. The more I dig into right were God has me and enjoy the little things, the repetitive things, little glimpses of wonder emerge. The less I strive and the more I rest, the happier I am. I am better able to see what God is doing and rest in Him. I find the kids feed off of me. If I am calm, playful, not-stressed… the kids follow suite.
Yesterday our oldest spent about 2 hours with his G’Pa building a rocket. When he came back….he was somehow older. I saw it in his face and his continence. He had picked up little words my Dad uses and started using them in his vocabulary. Our youngest is almost out of potty training and our daughter is teaching herself to read. Life is fleeting. Why worry about tomorrow, it will take care of itself. Enjoy the day, right were God has you. Even if it is hard because the older I get, the more I understand that “hard” is usually “good” being birthed in your life.
