Personality Traits

Filed under: Personality Traits, blogging — Amber(Homeschool Diva) @ 5:30 am

I took the personality test that Emerging Grace highlighted on her blog on Sunday.  I haven’t done one of these in years.  Kind of interesting.  They say I am a mentor.  Maybe this is why I get negative feedback from people about being too intense, or that I am trying to “teach” them something.  I used to have some baggage about that, but right now, I am totally accepting who I am.  Love it or leave it people.  How is that for mentoring?

Take it for yourself and let me know in the comments what personality type you are.

  1. Hey there. I just wanted to check-in and say hi since I spent about 10 minutes checking out your blog.

There are a lot of interesting things on there. Maybe some day, I can hear (read) a lot more about your church and home-school journey.

    I am interested in both.

I am currently the Director of Youth and Family Ministry in Wooster, Ohio. It is a church that wants to move past institutional religion and be a missional church - that is a great adventure.

We (wife and I) have 3 children and she thinks that she may be be in the place soon to begin homeschooling but teeter-totters back and forth with that - a lot has to do with the bad-taste-in-the-mouth from some home-school moms - kind of the detoxing from institutional church.

Enough of that; if you happen to hit my blog; you will see everything; news, politics, ministry, family and odds and ends ..

  2. I have that same tendency to teach also. I think it is just something ingrained in me, so I just try to go with it!

I am bookmarking your blog and will be back to visit soon!

  3. Randi - as you know I loved your blog too! You inspired a book post I will do later this week, so I’ll be given ya props for that!

Jeff - Dang! I am meeting tons of friends in the blogshpere in Ohio Really I mean tons.

I understand about detoxing from church norms and preconceived ideas around certain words like “church planting, pastor and homeschooling” Have your wife read our Home school philosophy. I relate with the teetering. It is all about timing but do have her read through the CM philosophy in my tool bar. It may just inspire her through the institutional baggage.

OK - thanks for stopping by and commenting.
    Peace to ya!

  5. BTW (info sake), if you want to read a great book that goes with this test; read the following book:

Please Understand Me by David Keirsey

They go through the book in many levels
